Surfin’ State Street Car Cruise: The popular Surfin’ State Street Car Cruise returns to Historic Downtown Redlands from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday on State Street from Orange Street to Redlands Boulevard. The event features muscle cars, street rods, classics, antiques and special interest cars and live music from the Wave Invasion and Double A playing a variety of surf music. Juneteenth Jazz & Arts Festival: The public is invited to attend the 27th Pomona Valley Juneteenth Jazz & Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Ganesha Park in Pomona. The free event will include live entertainment, poetry, vendors, health screenings, veterans resource booths and more. Doors open at 10 a.m. Bring your own chairs. Ganesha Park is at 1575 N. Making a Difference: Volunteers are needed to make a difference at “Love Fontana,” two events in Fontana on Saturday. The first event will take place on from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Seville Park, 16669 Seville Ave. The “hands to the plow” project will involve helping to clean a portion of the Pacific Electric Trail. Lunch will be served at noon. The next event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature a community fair at Jack Bulik Park, 16581 Filbert Ave. The Love Fontana Initiative mobilizes churches, community groups, local schools, and the business community to work together to bring beauty, hope, and transformation to some of the most challenged areas in Fontana. Claremont Clarinet Festival: The 12th annual Claremont Clarinet Festival will conclude with a matinee at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Bridges Hall of Music in Claremont. The program will feature clarinet soloists performing works by Berkeley, Bernstein, Mozart, Milhaud, Poulenc, Persichetti, Reinecke, Rozsa and others. Bridges Hall of Music is at 150 E. Free Film Screening: “Oh! What a Lovely War” will be screened at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Contemporary Club, 173 S. Eureka St., Redlands. Admission is free. The Contemporary Club is behind the A. K. Smiley Public Library and the Lincoln Memorial Shrine. In commemoration of the centennial of the Great War, A. K. Smiley Public Library is hosting a film series, WWI In Film. “Oh! What a Lovely War” is a 1969 British musical film directed by Richard Attenborough with an ensemble cast including Maggie Smith, Dirk Bogarde, John Gielgud and others.
