Surfin’ State Street Car Cruise: The popular Surfin’ State Street Car Cruise returns to Historic Downtown Redlands from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday on State Street from Orange Street to Redlands Boulevard. Making a Difference: Volunteers are needed to make a difference at “Love Fontana,” two events in Fontana on Saturday. The first event will take place on from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Seville Park, 16669 Seville Ave. The “hands to the plow” project will involve helping to clean a portion of the Pacific Electric Trail. Lunch will be served at noon. The next event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature a community fair at Jack Bulik Park, 16581 Filbert Ave. The Love Fontana Initiative mobilizes churches, community groups, local schools, and the business community to work together to bring beauty, hope, and transformation to some of the most challenged areas in Fontana.
