Deputies find stolen guns, evidence of drug sales at Highland home

HIGHLAND >> A 57-year-old Highland man was arrested Saturday after deputies said they found stolen guns, evidence of drug sales and counterfeit money in his home, according to a San Bernardino County sheriff’s news release.

James Larsen called deputies to report finding a gun in his yard in the 7400 block of Guthrie Street. Arriving deputies also suspected he knew more about an earlier stolen vehicle chase — the suspect in that incident was last seen running through Larsen’s yard.

Deputies searched his home and recovered numerous stolen guns, ammunition, rifles, illegal drugs and sale equipment, along with counterfeit currency, the news release stated.

Larsen was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance while armed and grand theft involving a firearm. He was later released on bail, according to jail records.
