It’s finally here!
StoneFire Grill’s first Inland Empire location opened Tuesday in Rancho Cucamonga. It’s the ninth location for the Southern California fast-casual chain.
For the uninitiated, StoneFire serves comfort food of every stripe. You’ll find pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, a vast array — 18! — of salads, plus barbecue meats — including baby back ribs, chicken, tri-tip, shrimp and salmon.
Of course, StoneFire also has a variety of sides, including garlic mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, cowboy beans, peanut coleslaw and chicken tortilla soup.
Most items are available in sizes for individuals or for sharing with two or more. There are also options for larger groups.
If that’s not enough, there are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. They also do catering.
Prices are reasonable, with individual salads starting at $5.99, sandwiches at $6.99 and individual pizzas at $7.49. Barbecue meals — which include a salad or side and two breadsticks — start at $9.59.
I was lucky enough to get invited to the restaurant for a media tasting event last week and can report that everything I tasted was delicious. I sampled two different pizzas, a couple of pastas, a pair of salads, garlic mashed potatoes, the chain’s signature breadsticks, plus lemon garlic chicken, baby back ribs, and two varieties of tri-tip.
Oh, and three amazing desserts: carrot cake, fudge brownie and Sandy’s cookie.
The new StoneFire Grill is at 10680 E. Foothill Blvd., in the spot formerly occupied by On the Border. Hours are 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Liquid nitrogen ice cream shop Creamistry continues to grow here in the Inland Empire, as part of its national and international expansion plans.
A new location opened Monday in Pomona and will open in Menifee sometime in the next couple of months.
Existing Inland Empire locations are in Rancho Cucamonga, Chino Hills, Montclair, Corona, Temecula and Palm Desert.

• Congratulations also to Oli’s Tacos! The Ontario taco shop is the winner of Montclair Place’s Moreno St. Market pop-up contest.
• Speaking of Montclair Place, with the filling out of Moreno St. Market, Food Truck Tuesdays has moved. The trucks can now be found from 5-9 p.m. at Boomers!, 1500 W. Seventh St., Upland.
